  What is Hydrovac Excavation?
The process of Hydrovac Excavation is a non-destructive method using pressurized water (Hydro) and a vacuum system (Excavation) to dig. With this process, Wolverine Hydrovac makes a visual observation of existing buried underground utilities, pipes, or unknown infrastructures so that they may be avoided when digging in the ground.

Some prime applications would include: Underground line exposing, subsurface utility engineering, piling holes, utility poles, traffic signals, waterstands, and in plant excavation.

Wolverine Hydrovac trucks are fully self-contained and give you, the customer, three services in one:
> a water truck,
> a pressure truck,
> and a vacuum truck.

Water from the Wolverine Hydrovac truck is pressurized and delivered through a unique hand held wand to penetrate the soil. The resulting sludge (composed of soil and some water) is then vacuumed into the debris hose by a powerful vacuum system and housed in the debris tank on the truck.

Did you know?
Many of our competitors have systems that can use up to 60 gallons of water per minute!  Wolverine Hydrovac, however, utilizes a revolutionary method of hydro excavation that only uses 1 1/2 to 13 gallons thus saving you money and clean up time.

What kind of trucks do you use?
Equipment isn't everything, but it certainly can make a difference. We use the Vactor HXX and here are some of it's features:
> Dual Stage 8,000 cfm fan
> 12 cubic-yard debris tank with 50 degree dump body
> 1,300 gallon, single-cell stainless-steel water tank
> 320 degree rotating boom with telescopic option
> Built in 380,000 BTU hot water heater
> User-friendly curbside controls
